Information event for the 5th semester: 29.07.2026, 9:45 am, 30.22 Wolfgang-Gaede-Hörsaal 30.22 Physics Flat Building (1st floor)

Around the time of the transition to the 5th semester, a course provided information on the next steps in the degree program, from the bachelor's thesis to the options for pursuing a master’s degree at KIT.
The course materials are available for review as a PDF.

For all courses, including practical courses, excursions and seminars, you must register for examinations in Campus Management (CAS) at least one week before the examination (or the end of the course).
Don't know how to do this? No problem....
You can log in to CAS and click on the relevant examination from your study plan to register.

In the module handbook you will find the contents and qualification objectives for the courses. The individual modules are linked to the courses and here you will find the corresponding ILIAS courses with the course content
Module Handbook and Curriculum
We advise you on the course of your studies, on recognition in the Department of Biology, on the curriculum or module handbook, but there are also extensive counseling services for students in unusual or difficult life situations.

The Computer-based Statistics Exercises take place as a block course at the end of the semester. These are followed by the Modern Biological Research Module
Note:
You may combine either Research Techniques or Presentation Techniques (4th semester) with another course at the Language Center, HOC or through the ExperiMentoring Program (registration in the summer semester for the winter semester). Please note that you will need at least 3 credit points to replace the research techniques.
Information on the Registration for All Types of Courses
The selection of courses must be completed within the specific registration period. Late registration is not possible. Students who miss the registration deadline must wait until the next registration period to enroll.
